Hello all,

Could anyone tell me if they have had this problem and how to fix it. Check Engine and TRAC OFF Lights on. The Lights Dim and the dash blinks when I put on my turn signal. It is kind of hard for me to pinpoint. When I disconnect the Negative battery cable and re-connect the lights are reset, but a day or two later they come back on. I took it to AutoZone to have the Battery Checked and it tested good, but the negative WIRE had a very low reading. My car also dies sometimes until I hit the shifter a few times, then it kicks in as if nothing was wrong. Does anyone know if you can change just the Negative Battery wire or do you have to change the whole harness. HELP HELP HELP.

 

You can replace your NEG battery cable by it self. I would starte by cleaning all the ground points first.

 

How many ground points are there? Where can I find them? Also who would sell the Negative ground wire? Lexus will only sell me the whole harness. They said it wouls cost me $250.
