Default Wheel choice for my new 98 sc 400

Which one of these wheels would look cool on my new 98 sc 4, the VSR rims or the ssw rims? both are 18x8 , I'm not trying to dump a bunch of $ in wheels. Going to drop with eibach 1" . If you don't like either of the wheel choices, any other suggestions? (don't want the staggered set up)

why not a staggered setup? Staggered would look much better than what is suggested.

Basically trying to keep the price down. IMO the staggered set up doesn't appear to be much different than 18x8 all around. I have 18x7.5 all around on my sc300 and I get compliments all the time (bsa wheelz mind u) , and it's not even dropped. Where can u get a staggered set of wheels (brand new) for less than 1 k?

I linked you to the best deal in town, a set of staggered 18s for $899..These wheels are of decent quality, doesn't hurt the wallet and comes with correct fitment..Plus, you really can't go wrong buying wheels from D2..

Skinny wheels on a SC is like a mini skirt on a fat lady. Which ever angle you look at it, its gonna look ugly.

how can u tell the diff between 18x8 and 18x8.5? 1 or .5 doesn't look any diff to me, maybe I just don't have a trained eye for rims like u catz do. I wanted the same size all around b/c I plan on getting spare of the same wheel.

Here is a pic of my sc300 on 18x7.5 all around

Those VSR's look like my armonos, i mean almost Exactly, my are also 18X8 i would recomend wider in the back and u might want to drop it more (i had about 2.5 inch gap in the front with my 18's).

Are you saying you had a 2.5" gap with a 1" drop r 2.5" gap with stock(with your 18's)?

Question.... Does anyone here have a Platinum SC w/ black rims & chrome lip? If so, post your pic. I live in OH and we get snow , ice , salt, etc. I like chrome wheels on the plat sc but are they bad to drive in the winter? Do the black painted rims paint chip off? Do you guys think black w/ chrome lip looks hot on the plat SC? Your opinions would be appreciated, thanks.

I hear black rims are played out....I'm leaning to a set of chromes but don't want to have to wait until summer to put them on....do chromes rust or get jacked if exposed to snow/salt? I lived in Fl for many years so I don't know.

I think silver or gunmetal would look good on such a light color.

They'll work but they will look sunken in. Moreso than stock SC rims i believe.

At the end of the day the fitment and width of the wheels is the difference between your car looking "nice" and "damn dude where did you get THOSE?" On paper it may seem insignificant but when your rear tire is more sunken in than your front it just doesn't look correct.

If price is your concern, dont worry about it, we can get you a good deal on good quality wheels that will have the proper fitment. You do not have to spend 3 or 4k to have a decent set of nice looking wheels.
