Default 1jz auto problem..

ok everyone i have a auto 1jzgte but i kept the 2jzge trans. Reason i did this is because i had and engine set out of a supra. Regardless my problem is that my ge trans shifts way too early. It shifts at about 3500rpms. Shouldnt the 1jz shift at like 7250? What could be my problem?

is your kick down cable connected or is there even one there? yes theres supposed to be a cable from the trans to the throttle body so it senses what kind of load is on the engine to tell the trans if its at wide open throttle or just cruising...

^^ that cable is for line pressure, not a kick down cable.
