Default gauge cluster problem

Well I read the one below and searched but I didnt fond the info I was looking for. I just got my sc300 yesterday. Im sill kind of iffy about if I made the right chose about picking this sc300. Well when I bought it the rpm gauge didnt work. Then I stoped at a gas station got gas started the car the all of a sudden the rpm gauge started to work . Then to day I stoped and a friends house came back out started the car and now the speed and rpm gauge dont work. So is there any thing I can do besides getting a used one. Is there somthing I should check or somthing. Also the needles are out but I read about that up top.

He's hinting that the wiring might be botched up. I had a problem with my heater controll going on and off, turns out it was cause of a aftermarket installed radar detector.
