Default Rebuilt SC400

My buddy owns a body shop and has a red sc400 in his garage. The car has a rebuilt title but only 80k miles. Probobally a 95/96 from looking at the tail lights. The car has no frame damage and he is willing to sell it to me for $4,500. Im a little hesititant on the title because I had two cars that were rebuilt before and were tough to sell. Right now its the best car for 4.5k but I dunno what I should do. Im also looking at 240sx's and older bmw 3's in range. Any suggestions??

with the low miles, that's about right. If you want it, buy it.

i agree with o.l.t that is low miles and if the car is in great shape which it probably is then jump on it

Take it for a drive and see how it feels. Also run it up into triple digits to make sure it doesn't shake all over the place at higher speeds. Don't be too afraid of a rebuilt title. Insurance companies are known to total out a car from minor accidents. It sometimes cost a lot more to repair a car than that particular car is worth.

On the flip side, many insurance companies will not touch a car with a rebuilt/salvage title. Also some stops require a comprehensive safety inspection before registering each time it is up.
