Hey guys/gals im prob going to get flamed for this but i have searched and cant figure out which car this came in i have seen it on two web sites its a 2jzgte matted with a 5speed trans could someone please help me with which car this came out of and what kind of hp can that trans take i just have a chance to get one for 2800shipped with the 5speed thanks, Curt

 

ummm, do u mean a supra twin turbo, which comes 5speed and 6speed, or were u looking for something less obvious like an aristo which im not sure if it comes stick

 

well NO 2JZGTE came in a 5 speed. unless its a 5 speed auto... u have to be more clear.. show picutres or something or else we would never know.

 

The only 2 5spd boxes you will find in supra/soarers are W58's and R154s. Neither of which were put behind a 2JZ-GTE.

W58's seem to find their death around 450rwhp. However, DaveH and others have pushed them well beyond w/o trouble.

R154's are theoretically around the 650rwhp mark. However, these are older boxes, and thus are experiencing higher failures now. Big problems are thrust washers and the input shaft getting missaligned due to wear over time.

If it's a GTE motor, then someone swapped in that 5spd box. Post a link and I can ID which box it is.

He says right in the description that its from a 2jzge engine.

I'm just blind i guess i just passed over it but i would like to find the other site that has it also and it doesnt say if its a 2jz-ge trans it just says 5speed and now i can find it ill let you know if i find it thanks, curt
