i think day to day...i will set at 8 lbs...and race setting on my boost controller will etiher be 11 or 12 lbs

jeff you see any problems with that?? i am getting the blitz dsbc- id

Hey, I was looking into doing a Turbo SC300 as well, as I don't have one yet, and am looking for a car to do this on, what should I look for?

I want to get an automatic (will it hold?) Is one year better than another? And how much does that toyomoto kit run?

no the automatics will not hold... they are weak and will blow up

get a manual don't get an automatic; fast automatic cars SUCK... trust me, i know, i had one

i have missed this latest stuff......Toyomotos old sc300 auto went 11s on the stock tranny with a shift kit...you can also stuff supra auto internals into the lexus tranny with enough cash.....so the stock 5spd will hold 12s...the stock auto will hold 11s...now how long and how good of shape its in will determine alot......both are very solid.......the car is a very solid platform to start with.......but you will need $$$ to go for 500+rwhp

i have never said the stock auto was weak......it is quite potent for a stock tranny

maybe i'm thinking of the issue with the shift kit; where the car has a shifting problem with lots of hp applied

shift kit is pretty cheap...and easy to do...no issues on the shifting

Jeff...can you hook me up with wherever you were getting the 5-speeds for $500? I just know I'm gonna kill mine right off tha bat, and I don't have $6k to invest in the 6-speed/LSD swap at the moment....

just have to call local junk yards..and ask for a suprs n/a 5spd or a lexus sc300 5spd...93-98....theres quite a few out there....a few less after i was done but there out there...Jeff

compwiz, just look in those places mentioned; and check the importer places that import junkyard pieces from japan...
ask for a W58 transmission

and the 6-speed swap shouldn't cost $6k if you do the labor yourself
