Help!!

I havea 92 SC 400. For some reason my ignition key does not want to turn. It goes in fine but does not turn even if you giggle the steering. I tried moving the shifter in and out of park. I took the panels off and took out the back of the ignition and I am able to start the car but steering is locked. What I have noticed is that when you giggle the steering wheel it does not feel like it gets in the position so that you can turn the keys. The tilt works. It does not feel like the steering clicks on the ignition. Not sure I am explaning it correctly. Anyone had this problem before?

you need to take apart the ignition housing, something is stuck. to do this you will need to drop the steering column.

 

I have a problem with ignition housing, where the part in the housing has broken.

Does anybody have a procedure for dropping the steering column? I have order the housing, but will be at a loss on how to install it...
