when i go over 2000 rpm on my sc400 there is a loud screeching noise. sounds like it could be a pulley? anyone had this problem or can offer me any advice?

is it ANY rpm over 2k?
does it even go away?
cold start only?

try to give as much info as you can, but right now since you haven't said any of those, guessing not, and pulley sounds right.

 

i had the same problem SC300 .it was the harmonic balancer

 

the noise is never under 2k and it sometimes stops briefly. i tried using wd40 and belt oil but it only stops this for a very short time.


could you help me locate the harmonic balancer... and what was the repair cost?
