My point is.. that is .. a very very very fixable accident.

Replace.. or refix rear quarter panel you can get a new one under 900 bucks, replace rear bumper. CD player will be fine most likely. New one under 400 bucks. new right rear light housing 250 bucks www.newlexusparts.com slightly cheaper if you go to www.car-parts.com if buy used.

shop around for a shop. With the parts in your hand. Only pay for labor.. or... you can try to fix it yourself if you have an experienced friend that can help you! Itd be an awesome oppurtunity to learn body shop skills.

Although Id check and see for any damage in rear suspension and rear end.

Ok word of advise.

DO NOT GO TO THE INSURANCE AND LET THEM try to fix it for you. That will absolutely for sure total the car. If you get a dent bigger then a quarter that will total a ride now days.

Rather talk to your insurance and tell them that you willing to work with them. Tell them whats the most possible amount they can give you withouth totalling the car, and tell them that your are willing to fix everything that remains out of your pocket.

My insurance quoted me 16,000+ for damages (no main structural damage I got hit at same spot.)

They wanted to give me 7,000 and take the car, with a little legal persuasion, I got 10,000 and kept my vehicle. I used less then 2,000 to fix the main body damage.. and fixed the other issues later on myself. Although in your case youll probably spend a little more... if you get say.. 5,000. You should be able to get it fixed. Remember the only thing you should be willing to pay is for the labor. Parts you need to get yourself. And if you can try to negotiate what you can do and what the body shop can do. For example let them straigthen and weld in the body panel
but do the things you can do yourself like replace your rear light, bolt in your bumper etc etc. Only pay for the labor you truly can't do yourself.

www.car-parts.com
www.newlexusparts.com

best of luck.

.. Your car is not dead its very very fixable, I can't stress this enough.

Oh liability? ... so you have a project now... this is a wonderful oppurtunity to learn a new skill in body shop! No im serious take advantage of this.

Hey guys, there is no progress as of yet but I defiantly want to fix her, at the moment I don’t think I can afford to have it repaired but I am looking into it. As for the car being salvaged it might be my cars KBB value is $5500-$6000 so if I was going through insurance it might be, but again I only had liability so im not going through them.

Tnx for the support guys.
