I'm a proud owner and SC enthusiast. That will never change, even if a movie makes or breaks the image. Like many others have said, I've had my SC for awhile. I can say I've been an enthusiast since 1992 when it all started. I just couldn't afford it until 1997

To all the diehard SC fans

i skimmed the last couple pages and read leg-humpin. ..

and i see Emerald posted, so it's not hard to figure out what it's about, lol

F&F3 = a movie i will go see, i don't blame the current movies as they are just trying to follow the enthusiasts. . .
the "enthusiasts" picked dirft and now F&F is doing drift. i just can't wait till something else is the new fad, because i dont like how the added attention from cops because the group of modders is growing insanely large.

Quote: Ms. Em did they compensate you at all?

And since you're sorta on the inside of production do you think this movie is going to be lame? Or is going to be ok? I've noticed that for every movie they've been heavily biased towards one brand or another. This one shows alot of Nissan.
Yes, they compensated me well (x3)for being involved with the film in front and behind the camera and having a car in the flick....They take care of their people.

The Brand Bias is 'paid for'. The last movie was 'sponsored' by Mazda / NX, etc... This one will feature Nissan, but I dont know if they paid to be the 'Official car'.

I do know that they had an official Tire Sponsor and it wasnt mine

As far as the movie: Im biased because I got to Drive in it and got to dress up as a Japaname character LoL!!

Seriously, I had a chance to watch the best Drivers in the world do sum really cool stuff. I dont think you'll be let down with the cars or the Driving in the film. Who really cares if the acting sucks or not? Who watches **** for the story line anyway?

joking aside, they did well with the scrips that were put in front of them from what I had a chance to see. You cant ask for more from Bowwow or Lucas Black. I'm not really sure why people are all over Bow wow. He's an actor with credits (and upcoming projects) under his belt...Maybe a better rapper (if you like that music) but who are we to say who can ,and cant be involved with Imports/Drifting. I do think that Vin wouldve blown this movie up to instant Blockbuster status tho

The guy who took a shot at me in this thread , has a car that looked just like mine did....a FEW YEARS AGO. I'd be an *** to tell him he couldnt be in the SC world. I have no right to do so, even if I think he is a poser

The Movie Will do well. The biggest critics are always the biggest 'fans' from what ive learned about the Import scene. They'll be one of the first to see it with all kinds of excuses as to WHY they spent money on it....

Enjoy it for what it is....A MOVIE. 2hrs of crazy driving and wild cars that you dont see everyday.

There are a few 'suspect' cars but 90% of the cars are simply badd *** rides.

I didnt see the first 2 movies in the theater (I dont like going to theaters) but I WILL see this one on opening night and the private pre-screening for cast members.

Its over the top, crazy *** chit!! who wants to see beat up 240's in a walmart parking lot? not me...ive got my own Drift Busted 240's littering my warehouse.....and in front of my own house

I'm gonna step away from my hectic reality and enjoy a 2hr reality break when it comes out...

Universal is bankng on this movie for sum fast cash. It HAS to have a Hollywood element. lets just hope they didnt go over board like FF2...I doubt they will. Everything was top notch....from the cars to the catering

This is gonna be a great summer for movies and this is one of the many that will take in sum serious bucks.

Oh yeah, Much props to the true SC enthusiasts. You know who you are!!

As others have stated, I'm not selling my SC because of a movie.

Quote: I really don't understand why people would sell their car if it's in a movie.
I'll play devil's advocate here...I don't know about other states, but in Cali (especially SoCal) cops like to trip and pull you over all the damn time. I hate it and it pisses me off. If a bunch of knuckleheads see this movie and get wind that the SC can be had for cheap and souped up relatively simply (because all the groundwork has been done by others and all the info you need on turbo'ing them is readily available on the net) then we'll see a flood of cheaply modded SC's on the road...on top of that they will be doing dumb shyt in these cars and attracting the attention of cops. This would be bad for people like me who don't race or drift and don't want to be associated with that crowd. Cops won't care...they'll just pull over any modded SC they see because they're known to lump people into groups. "If it's modded then you must race it!" Right?...Wrong!

So for me it's an issue of cop attention, I could care less what anyone else drives.

Let me draw up a scenario for you. SC made a larger role in this movie, kids go out and buy some cheap SC's and go at it with their parents' money.

-unpainted VIS knock off kit
-painted their stock rims black
-huge wannabe muffler that someone made to copy HKS
-loud noise

^all of the above are pretty typical mods for a teen ricer

Well, here in SoCal, you can bet your as$ a cop will pull you over with probable cause.

Go for it.
Im a teen, and i live in a house where spending lots of money on a car is looked won upon
However, I want my car to look good, and many of ya will link that to riced, hells no. I want the car to look about stock 98 style . To all those haters out there, this movie will do nothing i say nothing. And if you drive a little over speed limit, like i know most people do. IT was profiling off a movie... I dont know where my post is going so i can say this. Rakewaw Emerald congrats on making the movie i dont know who you are....but your hot and so is that ride

i don't want to admit it, but what Xotic says is true... unfortunately down in So Cal, cops can be total ****s and some can be koo about it... profiling =

Lol, ahh my naive friend if only it was that simple...DWB is the "law" I break. I've been pulled over about 3 times in the last 6 months, but never was I issued a ticket. Not once. I was only questioned, had my time wasted, and then let go. I don't break traffic laws and I don't speed, but that doesn't stop cops from pulling you over on a whim.
