Default LS400 caliper question

Just picked up a set of reman. LS400 calipers, and they didn't include shims or the pins pictured here that hold run throught he pads and calipers. Just wondering if these were necessary and where I could pick them up?

You'll definitely need those pins. They keep your pads in place.

I lost one of those while installing a set of LS calipers....Picked up a clip from the dealer, took them 1 day to order and I got it the next day....it was like 2 dollars...

The obvious answer to your question is that the missing parts are dealer items. Yes, they are required parts. Careful to use caliper grease where needed and torque the bolts to specifications. Try not to overtorque the wheel nuts.

well, I went to lexus to see if they had these parts.... there were only like 20 of these pins in stock in the entire US, and lexus wanted $23 or something EACH, and I needed 4. That is almost as much as I paid for the calipers themselves, and I refused to pay that for a little pin. So, I got to looking, and the Supra TT pins appeared almost identical, and my local dealer had 3 in stock, and ordered the 4th overnight, and they fit perfectly. The best part: these were only $8 for all 4 pins so just in case anyone wonders, the Supra TT pins are interchangable. Brakes will go on tonight when I get off work
