Lets Please O.L.T this time.....

Whats the purpose of the radiator fan being hydrolickly powered? (Excuse my spelling)

Is there any benefit to that? Ive just never seen it before

its because its cheap and they can. fwd cars cant because the motor is set horizontally and doing a hydrolic setup would pose a problem if they sprung a leak. up until recently hydrolic setups were on just about every rwd car since it was a cheap solution and would require less electrical components that can fail. the good thing is that they flow much better than most electric fans on stock cars and they are running constantly so when the car is idling at a light after a hard run it will be like likely for the motor to overheat. also the fan speed increases as motor rpm's and load increase thus keeping a better handle on temps that a single speed on/off fan cant.
