Default Custom exhaust setup for 95 SC400

Hi all, yes I am new. I have done searches for exhaust and magnaflow info and have even asked some questions to some members, but am still a bit hazy on the subject.

My stock exhaust has a leak and my 02 sensors seem ready to go. So I'm gonna replace them when I get back from a business trip on March 8th.

My project is to replace the following:
1) both my stock front cats. Question is what magnaflow cat part number do I order for my car? And can anyone provide a link to a site that sells them? Do i need to get the cat with the O2 sensor hole or not?

2) I am going to buy a magnaflow x-pipe. What part number for this? Does it depend on the outlet size of the cat? Probably 2.25?

3) I am going to get the magnaflow mufflers. probably the 14851's unless people think the 14829's are better?

Then I just have to get a shop to do the mandrel bends and make the piping that connect the cats to the x pipe, and then from the x pipe to the mufflers, right? (in the process removing the resonators, of course)

Any links or further advice would be great for when i get start this when i get back. Thanks!!

Here is the magnaflow website and they give you all the part numbers you will need. As for what mufflers to get..........get the 14829's. The 14851's are 3" and you don't need 3" for N/A.......plus the 14829's sound better. Not as raspy i was told. Get the 14829's and the 10790 "X" pipe. And you really do not need mandrel bends. Save yourself some cash and get crush bends. Mandrel bends are good for cars making 600HP and over....that is when you start to see a significant gains. Crush bends are fine with a stock SC400 and WAY cheaper man. I also had some leaks by my cats but i got them patched up and they work fine now!!

Default Thanks!

That was really helpful. I appreciate the direct answers you provided. Also want to thank those that PM'd me also. I should have enough to buy the parts and do the install when I get back from my trip.

You can get the 14851 with a 2.25" inlet. Both the 14851 and 14829 have 4" Outlets.
The 14851 has less internal restriction - whereas the 14829 tapers down a bit. I have the 14851 and it sounds great - no raspy sound - but the 14829 sounds great as well, you can't go wrong either way.
