Snow is great if you don't have to drive in traffic. Way to many people here in colorado that don't know how to drive in snow conditions. Always fun to drive in ski traffic and see some idoit go flying past you in a 4whd suburban or a big dodge lifted and think there just fine because they have 4whd. Then they get to a corner that hasn't seen sunlight and is iced over and they get on the brakes while in the cornor......I think you guys can imagine what happens . Good thing there is rails on most of the mountian roads for idiots like that so they don't go swimin in a river of go off the side of the mountian. I hate what they put on the roads here in colorado...forgot the exact name. Pain in the *** to get off and corodes everything.

I think they use Ash/Salt/Sand....They use the same thing up in MN sans the salt.....Why do they use salt!??!!
Sure it melts everything....then its a nice watery film that freezes in the night....Black-Ice-Fun!!!

Well with all the soccer moms driving there offspring to playdates, and scrapbooking events in their Hummers, Tahoe's and Expeditions. Everywhere will be desert-like soon.....Gotta love global warming....

That's why everyone needs a hot turbo to burn off all those bad emissions!!!

NYC got a record 26.9 inches. I just spent the past 6 hours outside shoveling the sidewalk in front of my house, backyard walkways, and my long *** driveway that I share with 3 neighbors. SIX hours!!!!!. As soon as this snow clears, I am going straight to home depot to buy a snowblower.

FYI - SC in the snow with Blizzaks is GREAT!!!

HA! You should see my BMW (the only car I have driven these last few days).

The conversation would be:

"what color is it?"

"salt"

I remember the SE snow of '93...I was trying to come back from spring break in Daytona. We only got about 50 miles N. of Atlanta, b/c ALL roads were shut down. The next morning we were able to head out, but only 1 lane was open, and the whole way from Atlanta to Indiana we only saw 1 plow!! At least when it snows north of the Mason-Dixon line the plows are out before, during, and after it snows!!

Yeah salt sucks, especially when they put down 1/2" of salt to 1/4" of snow..and it sits there for weeks..then it doesn't matter how many times you wash your car, the salt is all over your car within 5 minutes.

So, yeah go out & enjoy doing donughts & 'drifting' (snow-belt dwellers have been doing that since there were cars!!!)

Default Who can top this winter pic??

What's up CL members!

I live in Canada, we got stupid weather here in Alberta. Case in point:

Last week it was hovering around freezing. This past weekend it got up to around plus 20*C (high 60's f). The forecast for this Friday is now SNOW.

These pics were taken about a month ago (at the start of "spring").

No joke, I washed my car clean earlier that day, came out in the morning to head to my office and...well, you get the point.

Anyone else have crazy pics/weather like this?
