Seriously Brian, how old is the average SC driver here? 16? I'm probably one of the youngest and I'm not that way...Originally Posted by O. L. T.
HA, that was funny. Enoy your 24 hours time out. I even warned you......
Welcome to the club H22! If you want to polish the inside and out of the headlight that will probably take you day in itself. Just take your time though, you have to polish hard. We have how tos on both the headlight and trunk supports.

Koma, I bet I am younger than you
Welcome H22! When you clean that interior, make sure you Oxyclean (or something similar) the carpets, it makes a WORLD of difference to the presence of color on the inside of your vehicle, especially with the tan interiors.

I was 16 when I first started driving the SC, and it showed. I put her in a tree before I turned 17
But I know how to drive now
.
I am 19 now.

Welcome to the Club
Well, it all depends on your skill level??? Trunk supports took me 15 to 20 minutes, Polishing headlights maybe 20 minutes, but if they have water in them then that's a different story...sounds like your getting a new interior
, more than just cleaning right?
There's a lot of info here that will definately help you....good luck!

wow, im shocked.. i thought a lot of you guys had better mechanical ability than you seem to have.
headlights... get a pollishing attatchment for a drill, crank it up and go to town... just dont let it get to hot. they will look good as new in about 5 min.
trunk struts... pull the pannel out of the trunk, do one strut at a time... they are prety self explanatory to get out... just a pain to get the new ones on..(you have to lift all the way up on the trunk)... this should only take about 10 min. tops on each side though.
interior... well, i have it down to a science since ive pulled quite a few, but if all your doing is door pannels and the console, it shouldnt take more than an hour or two if you have all the tools you need.... which is prety much covered if you have your factory lexus tool kit.
good luck, and may the force be with you........ok, that must be the beer talking.
oh yea, welcome to our humble*caugh* abode.

Well, I'm not sure if you're that girl that's swapping the Prelude engine into an Integra or just my neighbor for the next 50 miles. But I still like to help you no matter what. Here's the source that I used for my car: Originally Posted by h22integ

Trunk lift: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lexus...QQcmdZViewItem. The parts have all the instruction you'll need. Another instruction is here: http://www.intellexual.net/faq.html#042.
Labor time: 30 minutes with no help. 15 minutes with some assistance.
Headlight Cleaner http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOVUS...QQcmdZViewItem. The instruction is here: http://www.luxurymods.com/tutorial1.htm or here: http://www.intellexual.net/faq.html#045. Both use the same method. I used a heat gun instead. Do right the first time to eliminate the messy silicone. I had to do it the second time and used a gasket maker for sealing. It's funny that someone on Ebay stole this instruction and sold it back for $5. But I guess it's worth it since the buyer didn't know how to do this stuff.
Labor time: from half day to one full day due to the cleaning out the old gasket residue.
Interior Cleaning Get some leather cleaner from Pepboys or Autozone, follow the instructions and your car seats & interior will shine like new.
Labor time: variable depending on how many times you spilled your Starbuck cup.
Torn or Cracked Leather Get a leather repair kit at Pepboys, follow the instruction, and if you match the color carefully, you'll have a 70% - 80% like new leather.
Labor time: variable depending on how heavy the previous owner is.
If you have any other questions, PM me and we can go out for lunch...Just kidding.

Umh! I've been thinking that we've been very polite and courtesy enough to welcome H22INT to the club. Please know that we are not on the show "Elimidate". We're only a bunch of cute guys with some popular distinctions of human instinct.
