i finally got my 97 grill, just picked it up early today, can't wait to put that bad boy onto me car, just one question tho, i have the vertex kit (VIS one), on the grill there is a clip in the middle to clip onto the OEM bumper( i assume), but since i have the vertex, which doesn't have the whole on the bumper, how do u guys suggestion to put that on. i m just thinking cut a whole to match the clip, or cut the clip and use some strong double side tape and tape it into where it goes. any other suggestions??

 

maybe like jb weld it on..but that might create problems later on if you get into a fender bender...also i dont know exactly what clip that is since i have a 92

 

Post some pics. I say you carefully measure out were the grill is going to be placed. You want it to be perfectly centered. Well actually, if you have a friend with a 97+ SC just measure where his is positioned. If you cut a hole for it I would make little notches to hold it in place just like the OEM 97+ bumpers. Where did you pic up this bodykit and for how much? Im thinking about getting one from VIS soon.

 

i got my kit about 2 yrs ago, my buddy hooked me up sorta, i got the kit and CF hood for like 700, if u want it, i can ask my friend and see what's up. and about the whole, there is already a space for the grill, i m just not sure if we r talking about the same thing, i m talking to cut a small whole for the clip to go on, but oh well, i will just keep thinking how i m going to do it. i will try to load up some pics.

 

I got bomex kit, and there is a clip in the middle of the opening too... I haven't get a grill yet so I don't know how they fit either.
