Question Tranny swap?

Wassup people,I was just wondering how hard it would be to convert an auto sc300 to a
6-speed transmission from a supra.I'm also doing the 2jzett swap. By the way its a 98 sc300 if that changes anything. Thanks

also how detailed it is b/c i need a price range.

This is probably one of the most heavily asked questions that everbody is tired of on the SC forums.

I've taken the liberty to search for you and I hope this will really help teach you the correct key words to use in your search.

1. click on advanced search (located right under the search insert space)
2. enter 6speed swap and find the correct forums you wish to search within
3. execute your search.
4. pick your thread and start reading.

Now you've learned more information than you'll ever have by just asking one question and waiting up to a day for it to be answered.

here is the results of the search :
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sea...earchid=450820

here is a thread that I picked out that you might find some info within :
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ht=6speed+swap

I know alot of the forum members don't agree with my tactics but if we keep giving answers away like it's free caviar on a silver platter at the President's ball, they'll just keep coming back for more expecting the same thing.

C'mon man he is new. We've all done something like this before we joined the forum.

My 5speed conversion cost me about $1000 in parts. You really have to get a good idea of what you are doing just so nothing goes wrong. If you are planning on having a shop do this then just know enough to explain to them. The 6speed swap is going to cost you even more. You have to buy the differential and the axles and all of that which might bring your total up to about $2000 more or less. Do a search on all the parts you will be needing. Do tons of searches because I know there are people that dont post up the specific parts you will need. Good luck with your project.

You're helping him now, but hurting him in the long run.

Ever heard the saying?
Give a starving man fish, he starves no more; teach a man how to fish, he will never starve again.
