Has anyone ever drilled and installed a grease fitting on the door hinges? (SC of course)
I thought this might add a lot of life to the hinges and solve the sqeaking problems and such.

I went halfway- I drilled a hole, and stopped there.
Squirting some lube in the hole did not help me, though.
If I ever get around to rebuilding the extra hinge that John (supra dr) was nice enough to give me, I will make a note of how it is put together, and figure out the best places to install some grease fittings. I think if the holes are placed in the right areas (taking into consideration the location of the splines), it would help.

Thanks Perry, I think I want to give it a try! I think I saw the hinge taken apart on PlanetSoarer, maybe I can figure out from those pics where to place the fittings.
I could understand that squirting some lube in the hole did not help much, I think it really needs to forced through the bearings under pressure of the grease fitting....
