Hello folks. I'm a new member to this forum. I am fairly serious about purchasing a used SC400 but am unable to determine the differences between the 94 and 95 years. I understand the 95 has a cup holder and side beam safety changes. However, one article I read also said there were suspension changes to make it sportier. Can anyone confirm that? Basically, both years fall in my price range and I want to make sure of the differences.

As an aside, is there one special uear that gives the most bang for the buck? I'm thinking the 95 and 97 years might be the best ones. 95 because so much depreciation has been taken out of the car yet it won't have tons of miles. The 97 because its the first year with the big engine.

Thanks for your help!

Question Does that mean...

The side impact beams- does this mean that my 93's side impact beams are inadequate? Or was it just built to a specification?
Can I buy a kit to bring mine up to spec? getting into the door isn't that hard...
