Midnight indigo pearl under the right light can look a bit purple, just as corvette yellow can look a bit green. So perhaps we can grant you honorary status! ;-) Love the bullet!

I thought this picture looked familiar, I don't know where it is but Virginia has a certain look to it. I have a silver SC400 and stay out in the Gainesville area. I will certainly give the double tap on the horn if I see you around.

Change to Midnight Indigo Pearl
I have Royal Jade 1996 SC300 with 64k miles. Poor paint has been ravaged by birds and other harsh things from sitting outside. Other than that its almost like a new car.
I am going to get it totally repainted.
What are thoughts on color change, in this case, to Midnight Indigo Pearl.???
I will paint door jambs, door edges, and a little under the hood.
Would this really decrease the value or resale appeal as some of my car buddies imply? It's going to be a garage queen, low miles added car, maybe 4000 per year.
Appreciate thoughts and opinions.

Pole Position
Get whatever color you feel....
I decided to stay with the original color to avoid door jam, trunk, and engine bay contrasts but even then the body shop went a tad darker and increased the metallic mix and vastly improved (IMO) the look of the car....
You should be able to work on the mix and come away with a good result...
