BFI Question
You will increase air turbulance and suck in hot engine air.
I ran a fairly scientific study a few years back when I was selling powdercoated CAI airboxes. There was a significant air temp, intake temp and manifold temp increase when not using an airbox.
Not to mention the air flow turbulance problems. Remember that air likes to move in columns.
I will try to find the data I have and repost.
