Default Supra TT harness

Using a USDM TT harness on a 1JZ Soarer, which plugs will not mate with the engine sensors correctly?

Thanks in Advance

What's the reason for using a 2JZ harness?

after spending the time and money extending the 1 jz harness and then the time and money to make an adapter harness to use an AEM, the money might be better spent purchasing a new harness that would go with little modification at all. I am just wondering what plugs for the sensors may be different ahead of time to know in advance what else is needed.

It can be done but I think you are asking for a little trouble..... If you are going to buy a 2JZ USDM harness just go ahead and put a 2JZ in the car.... If you are doing it so you can run an AEM just go full standalone... Haltech. Motec. etc...... I think if you are going to go through the expense of an AEM , a new harness etc... I would just buy a USDM 2JZ swap and go from there... I think you personally would be happier....

Default usDM vs JDM harness

There are just a few connectors that are different. You'll need to cut the coil-pack connectors off the jdm harness and splice on the USDM... in addition, the injector connectors will need to be changed. The only other one I can think of that is different is the water temp sender connector, and the alternator connector if you plan on using your orig Lexus alternator.

It is a very simple process to splice on these connectors, and it will be very obvious once you have the harness mated up to the engine.
