After watching you all and reading all these interesting posts, i wanted to know something before buyin the sc400.

1. Whats the difference between 300 and 400 SC?

2. Where can i buy a DVD or TV screen to fit the factory stereo in sc400 ??

3. Does turbo performance acccesories also come for sc400?

I would really appreciate if you can take your time to answer my 3 questions.

 

1. SC4 has a 32 valve V8 with 250-260 hp 92'-97' 290 hp 98'-00' ... 4spd and later a 5spd automatic only... larger wheels. More standard features

SC3 came with 225 hp 6 cyl offered with a 5spd and 4 spd auto and smaller wheels.

Body styles are identical....

2. Shop around your area... Post on electronic forum too.

3. No not at this time... Unless you have a lot of $$$$ to get one fabricated.

lkon and 92sc......the early model SC300 (i.e 92 style) had 230 hp. The newer SC300's had 225.

I wonder, How come they never maked the SC400's with MANUAL TRANSMISSION, i mean that be pretty sweet if there were an option to do that.

MySc I'm not sure about the 230hp from all the literature I have it's 225hp. The exact same hp power as the 93 and up Supra and GS3... Double check those figures you maay have made a mistake or I could be entirely wrong.

Sc4 go to the gallery and there's plenty of SC4 and SC3 pics there. and a 5 or 6 spd manual would have been the S#!T in the SC4...

 

lkon....It seems like i have read in many past threads about the earlier SC3's having a lil more HP than the newer ones. I could try to find the post but i will be gone for a week so..... I may be wrong and my apologies to u if i am. Heck...i guess this gives me something to think about on the plane to FL.

 

The 93 has 225 hp at 6000 rpm according to the manual. Either way, the 400 is a great car as is, the 300 is awesome if you want something to 'play' with. I enjoyed the 400 I had, but the 300 5 speed is an entirely different feel, and I love it.
