a 1j swap is as easy as taking your old motor out and putting the 1j in. Maybe a little custom heater hose plumbing and misc stuff, but nothing anyone cant handle

Maybe if you expanded your search to areas of our country where they are more popular since the last place I would be looking for engines to buy is Alabama...

Well South-East would include GA and FL and between those two states there are a lot of places that import motors. Apparantly from what I have been seeing on here and SF, the majority of those places are bled dry of Soarer clips. Like I said though, I have a motor ready to roll for that green that is ready to roll.

Georgia & Florida are the #1 hot spots for the soarer sets.... hell for that matter so is Canada and the entire east coast, so if you are trying to tell me California is where it's at - think again. I'm in no rush, I'd like to wait on Jhot to get one in.........

Well took it out for a ride... usuall issues:
Speedo not working
tach not working
temp spiking
and AHHHHH i knew i shoulda changed it from a crate motor sitting for along time, the thermostat a few mins in stuck close, but nothing major, ill fix it tomorrow.
My car came with speed sensitive power assist steering, my swap didnt have that option, so its just stuck on semi help highway mode.. feels good tho.

I was out riding around, and there was this little ricer car meet (neons, cavis), i pulled in, instantly ppl were going holy **** wtf is that. Yeah it was a good feeling....

Oh and power wise? Stock 8PSI, it gets the car sideways in the first 2 gears on 255's. I had a low 13sec GN, and it doesnt even compare torque wise, what an awesome motor!!!

Looks kick-***, dude.

Do you mind if I ask what the total project, excluding the car, ran you money wise? Feel free to PM if you'd like if you'd rather not mention 'out loud'.

Any videos on the way?

no videos til i find a place to upload, im on 28.8 dialup in the shop.

Total cost invested in everything is under $1700.
$1200 motor shipped complete everything except no ecu itself
$320 harness extension
$1-200 misc nuts, bolts, hoses, custom bent pipe, ecu, etc..

No labor or shop costs to install. My dad and me have swapped several kinds of cars before, this was a walk in the park.

The three wires coming out of the sensor are blue with red/signal, yellow/ 12v and red/ground. They come out in pin 6 and 7 of the orange plug IIRC.

The power assist harness would be on the opposite side of the engine being that it was origionally RHD. I had to extend the harness quite a bit to reach it's new home.
