Comments: I gapped them at .008, don't know who told me to do that, but they work fine, but it breaks up sometimes in the higher gears and higher rpms. I should probably change them out. Oh well.

Price: Paid 40 from a guy off here then bought 2 more on ebay for 20 shipped (gotta love the best offer)
Comments: I gaped them at .32, they work good. I noticed an increase in fuel economy. Slightly better lower end and my car doesnt seem to fall on its face at high rpm. I also changed to NGK plug wires and new caps and rotors at the same time. If i had to pay full price of like 280$ for all 8 i wouldnt have gotten them.

Plug: OEM Densos for MKIV NA Supra
Price: $86 for plugs and OEM wires
Comments: Just changed them a few weeks ago at 125k, dont know when the last owner changed them before that. Car pulls better, runs smoother, and better MPG. Cant go wrong with OEM

Plug: ngk irdium #8 for low - 28, #9 for 28 - 38 psi
Cost : $10.00 a plug
Gaped at .028.

 

Car: 1993 SC400
Plug: Denso from Lexus dealer
Price: about $350 for wires and 8 plugs, here they are sold for gold & diamonds
Comments: Working OK after 30k, this is what I expect from my plugs.

 

Nothing but the OEM, no need to use aftermarket plugs unless you need a price break, or your boosted.

car feels a tad better: better idle, smoother operations, lower RPMs at crusing

 

Car: 1992 sc300 5spd 150k miles
Plug: ngk iridiums
Cost : $7 a plug @ O Reilly Auto Parts
Major difference noticed in the way the car ran and sounded

 

Car: 1995 SC400 auto 77k miles
Plug: pulsestar plugs
Cost :about 25 dollars each plug

Car had a little more pep. Tires would break loose a little easier when hammering from a dead stop. Pulled better after 3k. mpg improved marginally

I actually just ordered them. Right now I have the "I'm a cheap bastard" model NGK's in the car.

Did that last year in a pinch. The car calls for platinum's anyway, so I'm redoing it.

Also on the order is a new Toyota cap and rotor and distributor seal ring.

Comments: Last spark plug change most likely for this V8, runs smoother at idle with out a question

 

i just got some NGK lazer platinum are they any better then the NGK Iridium IX, Part # BKR6EIX-11 or the NGK G-Power Platinum (#BKR5EGP)

 

My understanding is Platinum is good for 60,000 miles, and Iridium plugs are good for 100,000 miles. I added wires at the same time. And it did seem to make a difference.
