Default stock 1jz pipes

Has anyone ever made or seen anyone that made custom welded and bent IC and turbo piping for a stock turbo'd 1JZGTE? Im fairly decent at making that kind of stuff, i had the idea of remaking all the small cast aluminum pieces from off the turbo and stuff and making new out of nice powdercoated steel pipe. I know it would flow better, but would it be worth the hard effort and work and would there be any performance gains? Some of those pieces, like the turbo inlet pipes are redicilously small with insaine bends.

the pipes are made that way for a reason.... that is the way toyota engineers found worked best for what they were after. why waist your time and energy trying to outdo the people who realy know what they are doing. instead, just go single and not worry about it. just my $0.02

I'd have to agree here. Although VJ if you have ample time to put in some R&D to work on it and you feel its worth doing, go for it.

Not trying to start an argument or anything. However, were you not the guy who was saying that you are going to go single turbo, everything all out, "I'm gonna have 'X' whp?" If so, then why bother with the stock twin set up? You're going to end up removing all of it anyways for the intercooler kit right? .....assuming that you are still doing that "single" upgrade.
