Default Spent my day cleaning (56k Beware)

So today it was time to wash the SC. I washed it and got caught up. I figured I'd go for the big one today. So, a lot of swirl remover, polish, and wax and 5 hours laters, I've managed to put this paint in the best condition it's been in since I gained possesion of said vehicle. Only thing I couldn't do was clay it, since I don't have any clay right now and I had to be home all day. The clay will come before the next wax Here's the results, even took the best picture of my car I've ever taken! I'm gonna go snap some more pics right now if possible,I'll post them later tonite! Enjoy!

SO fresh and SOOOOOO clean! Mine came out of paint 2 days ago but was painted jet black instead of black metallic pearl so i still don't have it . I made them do it right. Can't wait to see the fresh paint.

Your paint looks great!

haha, the motivation comes from having the best color EVER when clean. I wish I had some more polish today, I ran out after doing the roof! Should've been more prepared. What kind of polish do you guys use? I use Maguiar's, and everything else I use is pretty much theirs also.

That's an OBX custom exhaust setup pilip...some say its rice because its OBX.., but I like it and thats what counts Also the rest of the car is pretty much bone STOCK (aftermarket intake only thus far), so call it rice if you want

Turns out the ***-hat who had the car before me had a roof rack on this SC, and I can see the marks on my roof. I've tried EVERYTHING to get rid of them, but can't

haha reggie, i know what you mean. I also need a new suspension setup, but money doesn't come easy these days with college and what not I've got an OLD set of SSR Integral A-2 in the basement, but I won't be putting them on again and there is noway i'm gonna find a buyer. I've got 3 17 inch, and 1 16 inch of the rims One 17 bent, and was unrepairable, and unfortunately I can't get hold of another ONE 17 incher, otherwise I would put them back on in a heartbeat since the car looks 10x better than stock!

There is nothing hotter than a clean and sparkley fresh black car. Looks showroom new. Nice job.

What are you waxing with these days?

I used Maguiar's Deep Crystal System Carnuba Wax. Usually I'll prep with Maguiar's Deep Crystal System Polish, but I ran out of it Instead I prepped with 2 extra coats of 3M Swirl Remover.

What do you use for Tire Shine? I don't want to use spray anymore because the overspray is killer, and you just don't get the same look by spraying it on a towel and then applying it. I am tempted to try the foam kind made by Turtle Wax. Any suggestions?

to avoid overspray with tire shine i get a cheap washing sponge (a big one) and spray the tire shine onto that, then apply with the sponge. it gives me a lot better control and a lot more even coverage
