fuel door

the fuel door keeps popping open all on its own. i inspected it but i cant find out why. when i close it, it seems like it should stay shut... but every now and then i catch it open

any ideas?

Hey man,

Check the cable where it is attached to the fuel door button and see if it is sitting tight in there. Do you think you may knock the button with your knee when you get in/out of the car?

If it is bugging you just unclip it from the switch and manually pull it open from inside the car ( on side behind carpet.)

Make sure that the emergency manual release for the fuel door is not pulled tight or snagged. I had this problem after I replaced the cd changer and accidentally snagged the line on something.
