Well lets think about it, you spend $400 now for headers that you'll use for what? 6 months and then will be replaced with an aftermarket exhaust manifold for turbo

XERD Headers are roughly $300.. and he could make alot of that back selling them since they hard to get.

stock 5-speeds can run 14.9-15.0 with a good launch actually...
best 60ft I could muster was a 2.6 and I ran a 9.8 1/8th mile... if i had better tires and could have trimmed off even 2 tenths of the 60ft, i would have been in the 14s, my car had an intake...

I've seen i/h/e NA supras run 14.2s and 14.3s before... so its very plausible

Look the best thing you can do in a N/A SC300 is bfi,exhast,safc2,an .....juice in fact i bet if you got the bfi,exhast,safc2,stage one clutch, drag radials an sprayed a 120 shoot, you could run maybe a 13.9an also the other great thing is that if you decide to go turbo you can still use all of these mods. with a turbo set up also one other thing is dont for get to up garde your fuel pump.

i am definitely going to end up with the bfi, exhaust, safc and n2o set up but what is the best type of exhaust you can get for an SC300, performance wise and of course i dont want it to be too loud lol

Are you kidding me? There is a bolt-on RSP Supra NA doing 14.2.. I think he has intake, full exhaust, cam gears, worked head, and lightweight pulleys. Bolt-on's & a 100-shot will get you a 13.50 or better IMO. KirkMKIV over at Supra Forums went 13.3 with a 75-shot and bolt ons. All 5-speeds of course.

again a bit too vague... the SC300 has a myriad of exhaust options...
MkIV Supra exhausts bolt right up and only need a minor straight extension.... pretty good bang for the buck seeing as how ebay exhausts in 3" size can be picked up for under $400 new with a warranty

dual exhausts are another matter and a lot more expensive...

and you can always get something custom done (in single or dual as well)

BPU:BPU™? Basic Performance Upgrade™. This term is used on almost every car internet site to describe the awesome bolt-on parts ONLY BPU™ modification!!

If it makes you happy. I'm sure the term is used loosely these days.. but originally for bolt-ons on a stock twin car.

I find this thread intersting since Ill eventually be going through a similar route.

I have a slowmatic sc300, and I dont plan on boosting this car for years to come, but at same token I want most of the bolt ons done here to be useful for when that time comes. I eventually hope I can be in the mid 14s with just bolt ons and weight savings (and eventual 5 speed swap) , but I was wondering how much of a power increase could I expect if I were to start with a bfi intake, cam gears and safc2 plus dyno tune?

A slight increase in throttle response, nothing major-
