Really sucks to see that on your NEW used car.

By the time it got really bad I had pulled over. I couldn't see my hood it was soo bad. And as I am sure you know, right before it gets like that it gets really cold - thus creating hella condensation.

I don't know how my windshield and sunroof survived.

My son was in his carseat and he started getting hit with glass so I had to pull him into the front. Poor little guy

Thx for the support,
Jonny

Gene,

Yeah - things could go better for me with these cars!! The rear windshield fell in tonight amidst a heavy downpour so now my whole back seat is soaking wet, as is the carpet Not to mentions shards of glass all over the car and my sons carseat.

I am bringing the car to get estimates tomorrow so hopefully I can get her into the shop and get it fixed.

The insurance company are being real cool about it so hopefully I will get a decent check and get her fixed.

Don't know how much more of this I can take!!

Thx again guys,
Jonny

Jonny, I said it before... but take it from someone who's lost two SCs to accidents (one where I was @ home sleeping in, and one last year )

If your car had to get dented up, hail is the way -- there's no frame damage, and all they have to do is pop the dents and clean up the paint. Speaking of paint, you may get a complete repaint out of this, along with some other goodies!

Count your blessings, because this could certainly be one in disguise!

and dude, shipping on that rear glass is not gonna be that expencive, 30 to 50, still beats trying to find one local and paying 150-200 for it, just pay an extra dollar for insurance up to 300 and you're set
the only thing you will need from the dealer is the rubber trim for the glass(dealer only item), if they cant re-use the old one, i called lexus and they wanted $370 for just the freaking rubber trim

Guys,

Insurance is such a joke.

I had to go to the insurance body shop today so they could estimate the car, then they said I was free to go to any shops of my choice.

So, i go to the insurance place and the dude starts picking apart my car. I try not to get pissed off but anyway. So then he says "ok, the only thing that needs replaced is your rear window, everything else can use dentless paint repair (DPR) and he give me a 1 page estimate for $1500.

So then I go to the next body shop and they give me an estimate for $9275, and the 3rd one for $9585. Hmmm, quite a difference.

Funny that no-one else seems to think it can all be done with DPR except for the insurance company

I am so sick of insurance companies trying to screw people over. I will be calling them later to ask why everyone else in this town thinks it will cost 6 times more to fix it than they do

Damn idiots

Jonny

Call David Garett,

He'll know what to do.,.,

Seriously. this blows badly. I mean, The last SC you wanted to be gone, and now this one you love and it seems like this ish is trying to get you away from it.

It just plain sucks bro. Hell, this Saturday is a tournament here in Tulsa, we have about 30 teams coming in and I have got to help cordinate it. You should come on by and hang out with the Boss Man and I. I gotta love Chivas.....

Hit me up,

Josh

I'm glad your boy is OK Jonny. I missed that part earlier. This sucks man.

If they total it, trade out exhausts with Josh. You'll never get the money you put in so someone should at least get to use it.
