Default sc 400 steering problem

I bought a 94 SC 400 a couple of months ago and I thought the steering problem was with the tires. It had Eagle GTs on the front and Continentals on the back. I put 4 new BF Goodrich g-force tires on and had the front end aligned but I still have the same problem. The car tends to follow changes in the road. It's weird. If the road is straight and flat - no problem. However, any slope in the road to the side and the car will follow it. If I change lanes, the car will lurch to the side as it changes from one lane to the other. When I come to a stop and there is a painted arrow on the road, the front wheels will turn rather than go straight over it. I've had the Lexus dealership look at the front end and another mechanic look at it too. They both say that everything checks out fine. However, the mechanic admits that the car acted "squirrely" when he drove it. Could it be I need a 4 wheel alignment? Could it be the shocks, the variable speed steering (does this car have one?), or something else?

Some of those symptoms sound like worn control arm bushings, but you'd think a dealership would check for that. There are a zillion threads already out there that discuss this, so do a search if you want to learn more about it, and ask dealership if they checked for that.

Default 4 Wheel Alignment

I've searched other threads but couldn't find any with the same symptoms. Any suggest key words?

I should have gotten a full 4 wheel alignment when I put on the new tires. Turns out that the back wheels were out of alignment. It fixed the problem. I still think the steering could be a little tighter. Some of the other threads suggest replacing the steering rack bushings.
