sub sensors in v8

sub sensors in v8
Hi
Need some info about sub oxygen sensors in v8. In uz1 we have 4 oxy sensors: two main before cats and two sub after cats. I do not understand reasons that 2 oxy sensors after cats... We have obd1 cars so for what are that two sub sensors?
They monitor cats conditions? what happen when I will remove cats?
Some of you have turbo setup on UZ. What are you done with that sub sensors?
