Red face

On a few threads I was/am very interested in the performance gains if any you recieved from the JET upgrades to your ecu. (I noticed you have it in your sig. and on a thread before.) I also left you a PM if you noticed.

For the $350.00 what did JET promise you? Feul/air remapping, ignition timing, H.P., better spark, better mpg, more torque, throttle response or WHAT?

I posted this thread assuming you did not read the other posts. Some members do not read all the recents post like others.

Question

Is the JET ECU upgrade done by G-Force? I have heard some very good things about G-force. However, I think it has more to do with the particular type of car one is tuning. Some have great potential for performance improvement, others not. I would love some ideas on how to wake up my SC300 w/o NOS or turbo. I am looking for a little better performance with no compromise in reliability or driveability. Yeah, I know, that's alot to ask for....

Sorry folks for taking so long to respond.

Anyway, like I said before, it so happen that I was at RMM for my tc upgrade. And Jet was just the next building over. So I walked in and asked if they could do an upgrade for me. We just did it right there in their parking lot. Took 10 minutes to take it out, another 40 minutes to re-program and install it back.

I was promised that I'll get at least 12 to 15% more hp. They've remapped fuel/air mixture. Definitely more torque. Although I was'nt expecting any miracles out of it. For $350, if I get, let's say, 30 hp more, that's about $11 per hp. (In comparison, RMM usually charges over
a thousand bucks to do this stuff).

So far, I'm definitely happy with all the upgrades I've done. (Also installed a heat shield on the intake, and pretty happy with that too. See "Heat Shield" thread on this site). If you have any further questions, e-mail me directly at nemrac7@home.com, and I'll be glad to answer any of your questions.

Talking It took long enough....

Thanks guy for the response. I wish you had your ride dynoed to get some data to substantiate their claims...

Very, very interesting to say the least... You may be onto something...
