Have you been stopped for tints recently?

I have heard of such device but have never seen any officer use it before.
I would say it's more of a judgment call on the officer's behalf.
I have 40% tint up front and was pulled over during broad day light by a motor. I was barely pulling out of a parking lot and obeyed all traffic rules. He saw me as he was riding by, made a U turn, pulled me over, gave me a very hard time w/ very bad attitude and issued me a ticket despite the fact that I tried to be nice and explained to him that I was studying for the Bar Exam and it was literally 100+ degree out in the sun.
I later drove the car to the police station and had a conversation with one of the sergeants. He said he would never bother giving out tickets for front tints. Not to mention such light tints as my 40% ones. He signed off the ticket without saying anything.
There are always cops out there who think they are better, more just and moral for upholding law than others (obviously they are not. If they were, then there wouldn't be so many criminals running around out there). And at the same time, there are cops out there who sympathize with the fact that window tints are okay for the hot weather as long as they can see through them.

I know a crooked cop that signs off fix it tickets for 20 bucks a pop.. well worth it for me so I don't have to hassle through taking it off and throwing new tint back on later... same goes for all the other little fix-its that the cops harass us for..
