What do you think of Toyota's new Supra AKA 4000GT?
I love it but it is estimated at $100,000!!!!
It does comes with a estimated 400HP though!

 

I've seen this pic before, what site did you get this pic.... If I can remember the site had all of Japan's cars and the prototypes....

Please post the site.... It's a tight car; however, for 100K I'll get a 2001 911T in 2003/4 when the "Supra" is supposed to debut. 60-70K yes!!!

That car has the LOOK of a supercar.
But 400hp? I dunno why...maybe it's desensitizing from all the numbers being thrown around, but 400hp..doesn't seem to be a big number to me anymore.

Before I thought BMW was out of there minds producing a 400HP sedan(M5). Now in a year or two..every mid to high end car will have that much.

600HP is STILL staggering.

I saw what I think was one of these the other day - it was a pure white and looked like a million bucks - I didn't know what model, etc. it was but it had TRD badging in addition to Supra - I assumed this meant "Toyota Racing Division"??? Looked like somebody got a large gift certificate at "Tricks Are Us" store. Don't get me wrong - I liked it. That car is what we used to call a "Radar Rooter" - any LEO in sniffing distance will be tracking him! Thanks for the look.

 

gosh, it always bothered me that flagship cars don't look distinguished enough from their "lesser" brothers and sisters. I mean, If I intend to pay a premium for the Supra, I want to make sure no one mistakens it for a Celica. Perhaps the pic doesn't do it justice.
Another example is the M5 vs. 5 series. Supra Turbo vs. NA, 300ZX TT vs. NA, the list goes on.

 

I agree with the assessment of the front end esp., the head lights looking like a Celica.. Over all the silhouette is marvelous!!!

 

So whats's going on w/this car? Any news?
