Changing MT Fluid and Diff Fluid

I got the rear diff done. I tried to get the bolt for the transmission done, but I coulnd't get the fill bolt off. Good thing I didn't drain it before I tried to open up the fill hole! Any suggestions on how to get it off? Also does anybody know the exact size wrench to use of the bolt?
Ended up stripping the fill plug so I took it to jiffy lube and they got it out and put their fluid in for $35. Not that bad and trust me...that bolt was on pretty damn good.
I still ahve the redline. Now should I jsut sell it and keep the jiffy lube fluid or should I still put in the redline. I can now get the bolt off because they put a new one in. I did notice it shifts smoother now. Not a huge difference but it was still worth it. Do you think the synthetic redline will be worth the change again? I'm thinking of running the jiffy lube stuff for about another day or so just to get it all around and then do another drain and refill with the redline.

Which Redline fluid are u guys using in your 5spd tranny's? And what diff fluid are u guys using. I want to change mine, but not sure which fluid i should use, or even what is suggested.
trouble with filling your tranny up from the shifter is you can't tell how much you put in it. Just use jackstands. Not sure what size the drain/fill bolt is in the 5 spd on an sc300..haven't done one in awhile. Pretty sure it's 22mm. The drain/fill plug on the rear diff is 10mm allen key. Suggest using a 3/8" drive 10mm allen key with a 1/2" to 3/8" drive adapter and a decent sized 1/2" drive ratchet. good luck
I got mine changed with redline this weekend. It was a ***** and turns out I got a siphon instead of a handpump. I finally came up witha clear tube contraption and a funnell that flowed it in there. Does seem to shift smoother than with the other stuff and in the end I'm glad I ddid it. Its a 17mm bolt thats the fill plub, not sure what the drain is I just used a big adjustable wrench.

Friction modifier is good for some trannies, bad for others. It depends on the design of the synchro's more than anything. All friction modifier really does is lower the coefficient of friction of the fluid. This means your synchros will last longer, but they won't work as well in the mean time. On some cars this is the way the trannies are designed to work, on others, pour some synchro modifier in and you'll be grinding shifts at 3,500rpm.
Someone else used the MT-90 redline fluid and had good luck with it, I'll give that a try.
And I change the tranny fluid every 5k in my Eclipse; that's what the company that built my ***** out race tranny recommended. However, this car will be getting generous 15K oil changes.
