What are the oem shocks/struts for '92 SC300?
#2
I asked this about my 92 sc400. My buddy told me KYB and another member confirmed this. I ordered 4 KYB GR-2s from the Tire Rack for $58 each plus $10 for delivery. They seem like the only comparable model and it beats paying the dealer price of $135 each. I have not received them yet but will post a update when I do.

thanx - I'd appreciate your review of the KYBs. It seems as though the Tokicos are very popular, but too many folks are complaining of the harsh ride. Perhaps it has more to do with the Eibach spring combo.
Parts.com also claims to sell OEM, and has the shocks for:
$46.23 Front
$54.12 Rear
I called and they verified that they are oem. However, they could not tell me what brand these were.
I'll look forward to your review on the KYBs.
thanx!

On my sc400 the factory shocks are KYB. The Tokico shocks are a little firmer than factory.
Yup. The Eibach springs are what make the ride rough and noisy, not the shocks. I know... I just had them installed recently
