sunroof vs hardtop... anyone know the weight difference?
just curious, but does anyone know how much weight the sunroof adds compared to an SC with no sunroof/moonroof?

I don't know the exact number, but the hardtops are so rare that I'd guess not more than single digit percentiles of total cars produced (may be low teens - but I doubt it)

Mine doesn't have a sunroof, either. I would rather have one, but I couldn't pass up the deal. I looked too hard and too long for a black/black SC4. Plus, I figure it's a pretty rare car all in all.

i would love to find a sunroofless black 5 sp SC300.... but probably impossible to find... and i have a budget to stay in. i never use moonroofs nor convertibles... never liked them much... and the weight savings would be a plus.

extra Helmet room
Sunroofless SCs have more room for a helmet at track days!
In mine, with a sunroof, I have to tilt the seat more that I'd like, and I'm still rubbing the headliner.
When I bought my 93 300 5spd new, the salesman called it a two-option car (SR & leather), and said all the ones his dealership sold (Virginia) had at least those two options.

Yeah, I'm 6' 5", and my head always rubbed in my old SC400 with a sunroof. So that's definitely a plus with the non-sunroof. There's also less wind noise on the highway. It's been much easier to live without than I thought!
