Default Turbo thoughts, costs

Any opionions on turboing the SC300 from those of you that have been there. Was it worth it?

About how much is turboing my 95 SC300 gonna cost? I plan on keeping the boost low.
I just want a little more power in my daily driver (300+ hp preferably )
What is the cost difference form having a shop install vs. me doing it myself (please note I don't have much expirience). Any estimates?
Will I need the replace the tranny if I run low boost? I have an auto. And if so how much will that cost installed?.

I thank you guys ahead of time for any help you can give me.

welcome to CL. I HIGHLY suggest trying our search button out, as this is obviously a highly asked question. There is plenty of info out there. Use as little keywords as possible for best results.

Enjoy.

Default To turbo or not

yes. oh god yes. Turbo is better then sex....and sex is pretty freaking good*!

But too much of a good thing can be bad...don't try to have sex with the turbo. I'm just going to throw that out there.

*Based off what I have read in books.

At least 10-12K? A turbo would be awesome but I can't justify that much. Although I love my SC I'd rather sell it and spend the cash plus the 10-12k on a Supra turbo instead

you could do it cheaper if you are doing the install yourself and source the parts used, etc.
