I am thinking of doing a similar setup. Questions:

1. can you use the stock sc rotors?
2. will the stock sc wheels clear these rotors?

NO stock SC300 or SC400 wheels will clear the LS400 brake upgrade

 

its not about clearing the bigger rotors its about clearing the larger calipers. not just any 17 inch will fit you need high disk fitment 17's.

 

Thanks for the reply guys. Actually I ment calipers instead of rotors. My bad . If you have an 18' wheel, does it also need to be a high density wheel? And do you need the LS rotors or can you use the existing SC rotors?

you can use the stock rotors, one member is running them here.

as for the clearance, you need about 2.75" from the rotor face to the inside of the rim.

 

a low disk 20 inch rim probably wouldnt clear. so its not about the rim size u need a high disk rims. most likely it will fit if the spokes curve outward enough. but i can tell you most the cheap ebay rims will not fit. volks and other well known names seam to fit.

 

I have no doubt that this question will be asked yet AGAIN before this thread is over.

the sc300 or the SC400??
from what i know the stock SC400 are bigger than the SC300 rotors

will this LS400/LS430 brake rotor and caliper upgrade work with IS300 wheels on a SC300? Sorry if ? been answered, I'm new here and just wanted to be sure .

 

nope.... I am pretty sure it will not...

 

IS300 wheels are not high disc and will not work.

 

the ONLY OEM wheels that will clear the Supra TT OR LS400 calipers are........
