Default WORKS GREAT!

I highly recommend the generic sub O2 unit from www.oxygensensors.com

Installed it, reset EFI and no more check engine and TRAC light warnings. The leads on the sub O2's are a little entailing to get it in and out but if you knew which side was faulty, you could just cut the wires under the car and splice the OE unit in.

However, if you are trying to determine if it is a heater sensor at fault, you just about have to remove the console overlay and radio anyhow.

thanks for all the help - car is back on the road today

Could you tell me what color wires match up with the Walker O2 sensor? I have a code 29 on my 1992 SC400 which I believe is the right (passenger) sub sensor. Thanks

am pretty sure the two black wires were the heater sensor. Maybe you have a failed heater in the 02 sensor? you can check it without having to remove it by checking for resistance between the two black wires. Mine was an open circuit, indicating the heater coil was faulty.

of course you can always pull the console and radio and check the pins at the plug; it may seem like a lot of work but everything removes very easily and you get access to BOTH sub sensor leads.

Good luck widdit
