what exactly is msd ignition. how dose it work what dose it do an y is it used so much with nos applications. what type of gains can be expected from it.

It is an ignition amplifier. Once you are making XXX power, your OEM ignition isn't sufficient.

And for anyone who may be interested, I drew up my own wiring diagram last night for installing one I will be installing an MSD 6A box tomorrow ....

ok so right now my mods are an sfac exhact bfi intake walbro fuel pump an soon an 85 shoot of nos would a sfac do anything for me or not really..?

An aftermarket ignition is never going to hurt you and the MSD is a reasonably priced upgrade. The OEM ignition components are good for 500+rwhp however, so you don't NEED to upgrade.
