Factory springs/struts out
Got me some eibach springs and tokico struts. I am very pleased with the ride. I imagined the ride would be rough but to my surprise, the ride is still comfortable. Plus the inch drop was good enough because i'm going to put a kit on it. I've read enough horror stories of the kits being too low and got broken often. Any suggestions on what to do with the OEM springs and struts?
I am thinking of selling it cause i would never need it again. Since i'm not goin to take out the eibachs and tokico and put back the OEM if i decide to sell the car. Labor isnt free nowadays..hehhehehee.
I will post my pics as soon as i have updated the new kit. Thinking of the VIS. I'm running low on cash. Comtemplating on the nonturbo.com basic kit that they have.

Guys, i'm so illiterate when it comes to cars. I just buy performance parts based on what others have. I read alot of the post and i'm confused of what some of the things do. I have an SC300.
Daizen front and rear control arm bushings-What does this do?
Daizen front and rear camber kits-Do i need this when i have already drop my car 1" (eibach/tokico - 245/8.5/18 - 265/9.5/18)
Daizen sway bars-What does this do?

Hi,
I reckon sell your factory struts to a wrecker, or in the classifieds (if only you were in Aus!). I wouldn't recommend running off and buying the VIS kit as a lot of people have complained about the fit and finish of their kits (do a search on VIS).
Now...
- Front/rear control arm bushes: These get old and fragile over time (what doesn't), and when they're old they tend to squeak etc. and manufacturers such as Daizen have made replacements for the originals, or you can get cloned originals from Australia (what I'm planning to fit into my Soarer).
- Front and rear camber kits: These are camber correction kits, in cases of slammed Soarer/SC's... I've heard that the Soarer has quite a bit of camber adjustment in the factory settings but I'm not too sure on this (although my Soarer has some bad *** camber on the rear wheels, guess it happens when the car is slammed).
- Swaybars: Also known as anti-roll bars, they do just that - they assist to eliminate any body roll in the car when cornering, resulting in a flatter car around corners. Aftermarket swaybars are just larger items of the factory parts, but help a bit in the quest for better handling.
Do a search, as it's all been covered before
Hope that helps.

Hey there,
My new shocks/springs arrive next week and I would like to do the work myself.
Does any one have detailed instructions for doing the suspension on the SC400 with exploded diagrams, by chance?
Plus, if anyone has done this work before and may have some comments or cautions I may face (with suggested workarounds), I would appreciate it?
Thanks in advance for helping me out

Was there anything wrong with your OEM struts/springs or you just wanted lowering? I swear because if I was over there in the US I would've relieved you of them! My coilovers are great for cruising the city and stuff, but not when I need the damn thing for work... hehe
