Default Replace or Rebuild Tranny??

The tranny on my SC300 is going out and im wondering which path I should take to fix it. Its got the 1JZ GTE automatic tranny which is pretty hard to get a hold of without buying it complete w/ the motor. So here are the ideas I was thinking of:

1) Pull out the existing tranny and rebuild it
2) Replace the tranny w/ another one and build up the broken one slowly
3) Get a turbo 400 and build that
4) Try to get a boost logic tranny

How hard is it to get the turbo 400 to bolt up and work with my car? I've heard about it done with supra's but never really knew what had to be done. I dont want to spend over 2k so list your opinions on the cheapest/easiest way I should get my car running the way it should be

cheapest = buy a used one from a wreck yard.

best= rebuild it and it will outlast the one you put in there from the wreck yard by years (do you REALLY wanan have to do this again?).

To me, $2K doesn't seem like a viable option.

but wouldnt that be about the same if I just got a boost logic tranny thats already built to handle the extra power I put to it once I start the mods? I heard the boost logic tranny was like $2200??
