Question 1: No
Q 2: no, not that I'm aware of
Q 3: too damn much

However, the Lexus owners manual recommends a complete check of the SRS when the car reaches 10 yrs of age, and then reinspect every 2 years thereafter. The is no mention of replacing the bags. You should only have to do this in the event of a collision, or if the airbag warning light indicates a failure in the bag unit itself.

Yea, same here. I guess we can't accuse anyone of a repost. I'd hate to have to replace the bags every couple of years. That would be one expensive ****.

Ha ha ha, Alpha, are you just looking to spend major amounts of money with the hopes that you'll never never have to use it? That's the first time I ever heard anyone even wondering about that, now either you're really safety conscious or you just have a little too much money on hand at the moment, lol... If you're really worried about safety then get a chassis brace and some racing seats with harnesses, it'll be cheaper than playing around with the SRS system...
