Tan to black interior conversion
I am going to start looking for my project sc300 pretty soon, and really want a 1992 black / black. I know they didnt make black interiors until 1995. How expensive would it be to do a full tan / black conversion? I dont need front or back seats though (Racing seats in front, and custom leather in rear).
Also, this may be one of the stupidest ideas ever, but how feasible would it be to put a supra dash in a sc300. I am thinking they may be the same widths, if so wouldnt it be a matter of dealing with the wires, different mounting holes, and maybe some cutting. Let me know if I am just thinking a little too outside the box.
Thanks,
Brian

The n/a supra ECU shares the same ECU as the SC3 so Im thinking it could happen. But what would you do about the door panels??? The supra dash and SC door panels are totally different designs. I would think they would clash unless you get something totally custom. If someone out there has done the swap, I would love to see pics.

another thiing that you could do is have your car custom reupholstered like what many other ppl do. YOu get to choose whatever color patterns you want. The only problem is spending money.

Since I am doing the GTE swap and using the TT ecu, all the supra interior components should plug right in. If I can get a good price on the dash, I may buy one and give it a shot. The dash is already black which is a good thing too.
Id really like to see some pics, if anyone could find out who has done it I would appreciate it.

I am doing a full black swap as soon as I get my wood pieces back from being CF'd. I bought a smashed 95 with black for cheap so it is just if you can find a smashed 95 for a good price.

I don't think Scott's car is RSP, it looks more like Viper blue? However there was a RSP, sc300 with the Veilside kit, big single and various other mods I saw a while back. I never saw the Dash in his pics but the car was really nice .....

I am in the process of wiring up the Supra TT gauge cluster into my car right now.. I will take some pics when I continue the project. I have to get the guage cluster fiberglassed so I can just bolt it back in!
