my SC project...
I think he is gonna go with the JIC kit.

Probably just going w/ the VIS T&E knockoff... I have a bodyman that does awesome work, so the quality of the kit doesn't matter too much as long as the fiberglass is decent. And he's already fitted one of those junk VIS kits up to an SC so mine won't be difficult. Just wait til you see what I have done with the roof while he's got it. Don't need no stinking sunroof...
BrokeNeck knows sortof what the plan is for the diffuser. The idea on the Supra one pictured is the basic concept, but it will be a much more simple design, since I've cut the spare tire well out of the trunk it makes for a much easier diffuser buildup underneath the rear of the car.
I'll be sure to keep you updated with pics and all as it comes together... maybe I'll work on the wood template this weekend.

Nope, nothing there for me either, just nice smooth unbroken roof.
RSTS - Yep, you've got it. The quicker and easier you have air exit out from underneath the car, the lower the air pressure there is. Combine that with the higher pressure created on top of the car, with a wing or other body implements, and you have a rearend that stays very planted at speed.
Plus CF diffusers just look badass.

Thanks for the compliments... I enjoy the feedback.
Once I get the template worked out and the final product together, I'm sure getting some built for sale won't be a problem if there's enough interest at that time.
Not sure how many would be willing to cut out their spare tire well like I have to put a flat floor in the trunk for the design I'm implementing though.

RSTS - Well drilled are cool and all, and there are a few production cars that run them... But if they get used in track events often I believe the slotted will hold up and have less potential of cracking.
On a CD you have holes clear through the rotor, giving an easy path for a possible failure.. whereas in a slotted there is generally more continual mass in the rotor.
This is all just nitpicking craziness that would probably never even be a problem, but it is the very tiny reason why I prefer one over the other.
Realistically a Brembo rotor is a Brembo rotor... I'd really prefer the 2-piece w/ aluminum hat, but I'm trying to keep this project reasonable, and you can't beat the bang for the buck of the Supra brake upgrade.
