Default Help me decide which SUSPENSION... Experiences needed.

Sup again, well i've been doing my research and i came up with 4 good potential suspensions that i might buy. I just wanted yall's feedbacks on my choices and share yall experiences with them, if yall rode/own the suspension. Basically, im trying to find which ones have good rideability, toughness and best bang for the buck. Well here they are...

Tein Type Flex -List price $1560.00

Tein Type RE - List price $1920.00

HKS Hipermax II - List price $2175.00

HKS Hipermax DRAG - List price $2270.00 (only available for Toyota Supra 93-98... will this fit SC300's?)

So if yall have any experiences with these suspensions, pleas post up!

What about JIC-Magic ?? I was looking into a set of HKS Hipermax II but the deal fell through As far as the Hipermax DRAG, I don't see why they would not fit... If I were you I would look into the JIC set, I know Manaray got a set and he likes them alot... Also it just all depends on what you are looking for.. the more you pay the more settings you get, you need to ask your self if you will need or will use the extra settings... Are you just looking for a lower ride, if so you can get a nice set of springs / struts for like 600 to 800 (parts only) and that can give you a few diff setups dependind on what you go with...

I don't have any advice, but if you go with Tein, it's 20% off through automotiveforums.com

depends, do you want to road race- auto cross- drag race... there are better springs for each application- I know the dampening is adjustable, however there are set ups that concentrate on these applications

get the hks drags....they are priced at $1950 www.horsepowerfreaks.com. Yes they will fit the sc, but I dont know if it is worth the $ unless you are a gonna do some serious drag racing.

I can tell you about the HKS HypermaxII's. I have had them for over a year and find them worth every cent. They are adjustable in both height and dampening. You can adjust the ride to near stock smoothness to down right stiff. I love em.

wow, thanx for all the responses. Well the car will have a GTE swap later down the road and it will see some street/drag racing. But for now, i just need something that will drop the car alot and keep the comfortable ride. then stiffen up for the times i go racing. so noone has had any experiences with Teins huh? I like them because u can adjust the length of the shock to lower the car and u dont have to mess with the spring, so it will stay compressed. About the JIC, im trying to stay away from them because i read that they have a really bad customer service post up more experiences please

I had tein ha's on mine and I was happy with them. When you soften them all the way up I thought the ride was pretty comfortable....but I drove around with them on almost the stiffest setting.

I am torn between the JIC FLT-A2's and the Zeal Function B6's I know the zeals are a lot stiffer, but they have a bigger strut body and better damping. However, this is the wifey's car, so I am not really sure if she is going to want something as stiff as the Zeals for daily driving...

decisions, decisions...

Keith, how are you going to keep the car you just bought a secret when you describe it in your signature!

I have the Tein CS's, they ride like stock. You cant even tell the car is dropped. It also puts it very far down, I would say about 3 inchs. I got them for 1400$ shipped. They are excellent coilovers.

Kevin

PS. Todd from TMengineering makes camber kits for the SC for about 150. Check out www.tmengineering.net it may be hard to get a hold of him the first few times, but the communication is great afterwords.
