how much hp would a single exhaust yield?
no one really knows 
we dont go by "you can get x hp from this mod and y hp from this mod" over here...
the 1jz-gte is a bottled up turbo motor with lots of exhaust restrictions how much power do you think a 3" catback would make?
then take it a step furthur and think about downpipes and testpipes

well thanks for gettin me nowhere. i know there is no definate answer...but what im asking is would you say it would give a 6-8 hp gain...or like a 15 hp gain?? im just looking for a ballpark figure here. the reason i ask is b/c i may be buying a sc300 w/ a 1jz swaped in it and it has a single 3''. i kinda like the way dual exhaust looks better on the SC's and was just wondering about how much hp i would loose if i put some after market duals back on it.

I run a single exit 3" exhaust. However, I put it on while my car was still in stock form. I saw a 2rwhp gain from it while my car was N/A. The only way to answer your question would be for me to put my factory exhaust on and see how much power I LOSE with factory exhaust ... but um .. that isn't going to happen, it won't bolt up anyway .. AND I threw it away, lol.
